Session 3 – Community Outreach Workshop “Debunking Myths about Colorectal Cancer Moderated by Dr. Rebecca Rhee (MMC) & Dr. Jennifer Basil (BCCC-CURE Associate Director Community Outreach and Brooklyn College Professor of Biology)

Health Disparities and Women of Color Panel Discussion,
co-sponsored by Brooklyn College Cancer Center (BCCC-CURE), Black Student Union (BSU), The Student Activities, Involvement, & Leadership Center (BC_SAIL), The Women’s Center, The BC Health Clinic. This event will be a panel consisting of health care professionals and health and nutrition scientists who will discuss the health disparities when it comes to women of color and share information on beneficial resources.

April 26th, 2022 12:00pm – 4:00pm.
Brooklyn College Cancer Center Health and Wellness Fair: Disease Prevention as the Tool to Support the Wellness of Our Communities
An event-filled day focusing on your health! Activities include yoga, fitness workouts, mindfulness, art relaxation, and music. Health educators and advocates will offer workshops on cancer prevention and healthy habits. Blood pressure, glucose levels, COVID-19, HIV, and HPV testing will be available. Food will be provided in the workshops on a first-come-first-served basis.
