Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, BC Against Cancer Team’s Field Trip to Albany for ACS CAN New York’s Cancer Action Day (BC Students, Staff, and Faculty will board the bus at 132 West 32nd St, NY, NY and be brought back after a full day of lobbying for live-saving cancer care policies in Albany).

May 7th, 2024, 12:30 – 2:30PM 2024 BC Health and Wellness Fair: Healthy isn’t a Goal. It’s a Way of Living. Co-hosted by BCCC-CURE and BC Office of Health and Wellness. At the BC East Quad. Free HPV Vaccines and Prostate Cancer Blood Test available 9-4 PM on Bedford Avenue and Campus Road.
April 11th, 2024, 12:15 – 2:30PM Brooklyn College Staff Cancer Prevention Information Session and Luncheon, Student Center, Bedford and Amersfort rooms (2nd floor). Free Prostate Cancer Blood Test will be available, 9-4 PM. Screening Mobile Van will be parked on Bedford Avenue and Campus Road. Brooklyn College Cancer Center Health and Wellness Fair: Disease Prevention as the Tool to Support the Wellness of Our Communities An event-filled day focusing on your health! Activities include yoga, fitness workouts, mindfulness, art relaxation, and music. Health educators and advocates will offer workshops on cancer prevention and healthy habits. Blood pressure, glucose levels, COVID-19, HIV, and HPV testing will be available. Food will be provided in the workshops on a first-come-first-served basis.

This event will be a panel consisting of health care professionals and health and nutrition scientists who will discuss the health disparities when it comes to women of color and share information on beneficial resources.
