September 22, 2023, 6:00 – 8:00 PM Community Outreach Cancer Screening Event, organized by Memorial Medical Care, PC; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center; Brooklyn College Cancer Center. Free mammograms, prostate cancer testing, and general health screenings. In addition to health & wellness educational materials, and fun interactive activities for children. (Light snacks and refreshments)

Free Prostate Cancer Blood Test will be available, 9-4 PM. Screening Mobile Van will be parked on Bedford Avenue and Campus Road. Brooklyn College Cancer Center Health and Wellness Fair: Disease Prevention as the Tool to Support the Wellness of Our Communities An event-filled day focusing on your health! Activities include yoga, fitness workouts, mindfulness, art relaxation, and music. Health educators and advocates will offer workshops on cancer prevention and healthy habits. Blood pressure, glucose levels, COVID-19, HIV, and HPV testing will be available. Food will be provided in the workshops on a first-come-first-served basis.

Health Disparities and Women of Color Panel Discussion, co-sponsored by Brooklyn College Cancer Center (BCCC-CURE), Black Student Union (BSU), The Student Activities, Involvement, & Leadership Center (BC_SAIL), The Women’s Center, The BC Health Clinic. This event will be a panel consisting of health care professionals and health and nutrition scientists who will discuss the health disparities when it comes to women of color and share information on beneficial resources.
